9:36 pm	What is the combination of Yay and Argh? Yargh? Sounds Pirate-y. Oh college application process, why must you be so stressful? On the plus side I'm really enjoying school this year. My schedule: Post-Calculus: My inner math geek's favorite class. Simply amazing. Hard Problems, Abstract Concepts and NO HOMEWORK. Advanced Theatre Performance: Amazing-er than Post-Calc. This class is the god of all classes at Highland Park High School. The class is already bonding together and building an amazing ensemble. I'm currently being featured as Apollo, in Apollo and Daphne. A.P. Literature and Structure of Music: Kind of slow right now 'cause I know it all from my 10 years of playing Violin. But I'm hoping it'll get better later in the year. Symphony Orchestra: 4th chair and top-ranked violin in my class for the 4th year in a row. Same as the last three years, but still awesome. And along with our Bizet and Glinka, we're playing a piece about pirates. PIRATES! And we're getting special effects for the concert. It's gonna be awesome. Chorale: 108 people in one room singing. Ca-raazy. We're singing stupid stuff all relating to christianity in some way, and the crappy christian songs, no Vivaldi Gloria or anything. Comedy and Tragedy: Theatre English. Amazingly easy. Oedipus Rex annoyed the crap out of me. Anxiously awaiting the Shakespeare unit. Dance 1-2: 35 Girls, 1 me. Awkward. But still a good class. International Relations: Right on up there with Post-Calc and ATP. An amazing class. I've been learning about the world left and right. Actually moreso left. Yay Liberal biases! 11:21 pm	Canadian Bacon So guess who's in Canada right now? If you guessed me, you are correct. Me and my family have gone on an impromptu vacation to Ontario. Right now we're in stratford which is really cool. It's got an awesome town and great houses and it has a Shakespeare festival and a summer music festival. This is my kind of town! 11:05 pm	Crap and User Info Help? So guess who's been insanely busy lately. You get one guess and it doesn't count. That's right, Piven and Over the Tavern mixed in with some calculus have TAKEN OVER MY LIFE. If you haven't seen me online recently, one of the above is probably the reason. And next week is going to be hell. I'll give you the run through. Wednesday: Piven performance (9:30-12:30), Over the Tavern dress rehearsal (6:00-10:00) Thursday: Piven performance (9:30-12:30), Over the Tavern dress rehearsal (6:00-10:00) Friday: On Stars Not Falling first rehearsal (10-6), Over the Tavern Opening night (6:30-who god knows when) Saturday: On Stars Not Falling rehearsal (10-4), Over the Tavern Opening night (6:30-who god knows when) And then I promptly fall over dead. I have decided that my user info page could use some more substance to it. And I was thinking of ways that I could spruce it up a bit, but I came to no conclusions. 5:51 pm	Bandersnaches, Borogroves and Mome Raths, Oh My! Yep, It's me and I am alive. I haven't updated in forever, so I thought I'd keep you all posted on my recent happenings in my life. First of all, my Junior year has ended, and thus summer has began. This also means that next year I'll be a senior and THAT means college applications. Which I haven't begun looking at, at all. Which I'm sort of freaking out about. Well as much as I freak out. In other news I've been rehearsing for a show called Over The Tavern in my NAHPHS* debut. I'm Eddie, the older brother of the main kid. It's been a lot of fun. What's really odd is that the cast's out of acting relationships reflect our relationships in the play. Eastman, the kid who's playing my younger brother, annoys the crap out of me sometimes and is really cool sometimes, and Katelyn, who's playing my older sister, thinks I'm weird but cool. Did that last sentence make any sense whatsoever? I've also been accepted into Piven Theatre's summer teen conservatory, which I'll be starting on Monday. I'm very excited and can't wait to start. 7:36 pm	F#... E.. D C# D E F# G F# E *sigh* I'm exhausted. I just got done with my IMEA orchestra auditions for the most competitive district in the entire state. In fact, the district orchestra I auditioned for is better than the All-State Orchestra. I think I did pretty well but I'm not quite sure. Oh well. What I was really surprised by was how many people I knew there. Only two other people from my school were auditioning, but through my years of MYA youth orchestra, lessons and other stuff, I knew more than HALF the people there! IT WAS INSANE! Old friends I haven't seen in a few years, came up to chat, while extremely nervous. I've been invited back to play in the orchestra I quit over year ago, but I'm still not sure if I'm going to do it. Looks like I need to make some descisions! ^_^ *sigh* Oh and for those of you who I haven't been in touch with for a while and are wondering what my most recent adventures/accomplishments have been, I'll give a brief synopsis. 1) Cast in Beauty and the Beast 2) Production assistant for Medea 3) Crewing for a crappy show 4) and Ninjaing it up! 9:48 pm	Odd Mood... I'm feeling very strange today. I mean normally I'm very strange myself, but today I feel strange in comparison to myself. Even the language I'm using in this journal entry is strange. Anyway, I would like to begin by saying I LOVE TARGET! It is one of the most awesome places on the planet! You can get ANYTHING there (well except for maybe musical instruments and stuff ^_^)! There's movies, books, CD's, food, toys, good smelling candles, clothes, video games, furniture, medicine, personal hygiene items, and other random stuff all over the place! And it's all rather cheap. In fact, one could even live there! It has all the basic needs for survival. That's what I'll do! I'll go to live in Target! And since I always wind up meeting friends there, they would be always coming to visit me! But alas, this seems to be an unattainable dream, as they would probably kick me out after they discovered me sponge-bathing in their restroom. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I go there so much that it's almost like I'm living there. It's just that I had a seemingly profound realization while we were shopping for things for my room. In other news, I talked with two random strangers today! The first one was nice and I helped her find good movies. The second one was a little unnerved, as she was smelling one of the aforementioned good smelling candles, and I commented on her good taste in candles as it was the same kind of candle that I had bought for myself when me and a few other cast members were buying needed extra costume pieces for our show, but she recovered and we had a nice little exchange. I can't seem to remember what she said, and maybe it doesn't matter. To satisfy many of your wonderings (especially mirmie's) my play that I had mentioned in an earlier update went AWESOMELY well. It was another one of those awesome runs that I will probably remember for the rest of my life, or at least for quite a while. I had yet to mention it as I was far too busy at the time (due to a certain cast party at my house, which ROCKED!), and afterwards I was too emotional about it to write. I made so many awesome friends and they helped make it the awesome experience it was. Eh bien, I must go as I am being beckoned to go watch a movie with my parents. It should prove quite fun! Tata!
